Autumn and winter ask for a different fabric and a different layer. This collection is our answer to that: open abayas, knit sets and heavier gowns built to hold warmth and structure from October through February, when a single chiffon layer stops being enough.

Knit and cardigan layers

The zip-up high-neck knit tunic and skirt set and the button-front knit cardigan and skirt set are the two-piece answers for cold commuting. Both are knit rather than woven, so they are warmer without the weight of a coat, and both are built as a matched outfit. For a more classic shape, the cotton retro lapel cardigan and long skirt set reads more tailored and works over a plain inner layer.

Heavier abayas and gowns

When you want one garment instead of a coordinated set, the double-layer tencel knit abaya dress is the one to look at first — the double layer is what gives it the drape and warmth of a heavier fabric without feeling heavy. Open abayas built for cold weather

Most of this collection is open abayas, and the difference between them is mostly about surface and lining. The colourblock velvet open abaya is the warmest-looking of the group and holds its drape rather than collapsing. The black beaded open abaya, black botanical print open abaya and contrast-trim open abaya are smoother, more formal options, and the pink floral appliqué open abaya adds colour without adding weight.

How to layer in cold weather

The rule is the same as in summer: keep the inner layer simple and let the outer piece do the work. A plain inner dress under a velvet or beaded open abaya looks intentional, and it means you can swap the outer layer without changing everything underneath.
